Picnicon was lightly attended (between 20 and 25 people), partly I suspect due to the threat of lousy weather (that didn't materialize), partly due to being in July, which is fairly far from the bit of publicity we give it at DucKon. But folks seemed to have a good time.

Yesterday's christening also went well. [info]jeff_duntemann posted a write up and pictures -- I'll post more later.

Had I heard anything about it earlier than last night, you might have had at least 4 more people.

You might think about a mass e-mail or postcard mailing about a month or so prior to the event.

Point taken. We've been reluctant to mail to the WindyCon e-mail list, but that's probably something we should do in the future.

A postcard mailing is simply too expensive, given current postage rates. We did have some postcard-sized flyers at DucKon (about a month ahead of the event), but those are simply to easy to overlook as [info]daisy_knotwise pointed out to me today.
