I'm waiting for stuff here at work, catching up on LJ responses, answering e-mails and IMs (many work-related), and answering silly quizzes. Apparently, I passed this one. :) ( High school meme inside... )

And this version, courtesy of catalana, slightly retitled: If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want -- good or bad. When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you. Note: I regard all of this as optional. So if you choose not to post something, that's cool. Or if you don't want to do it in your journal, that's cool too. But it looks like a fun way to distract myself while packing a zillion boxes waiting to find out what happens to my car next.

It's back! But the results are stranger this time.

Nicked from tarkrai who I think can't quite match this. Below are the 259 songs which have been nominated for a Pegasus Award. If you have heard the song put it in Italics. If you have sung along to it in public (or at least the chorus) put it in Underline. If you have sung it (in public, all the words, with people looking at you) put it in Bold Thanks to maverick_weirdo for starting this. If you want to check the lyrics of many of these songs out, check out the Pegasus Nominated Songs page. ( And away we go... )

And would this be a great surprise if you looked behind the cut? Although I'll note that -- as usual -- some of the questions weren't subject to really simple answers. ( Meme inside... )

Having been tagged for this twice now (once by my wife), I really ought to respond, I suppose.
Rules: Each player of this game starts off with 10 weird things/habits/little known facts about yourself. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 10 weird habits/things/little known facts as well as state this rule clearly. At the end you need to choose 10 people to be tagged and list their names.
1. I spent two years on Guam twice. 2. I'm an Air Force brat. 3. My mother was a Baptist. My father was a Methodist. I spent two years in an Episcopal school. And all the ministers in the Air Force seem to be Lutherans. As a result, I have little patience for fine doctrinal differences. :) 4. I was kicked out of the choir in junior high school, because I couldn't sing. 5. I think that chocolate-covered potato chips taste just fine. (Stop flinching! They're pretty much like chocolate-covered peanuts.) 6. I've been working for 25 years at a temporary job. 7. I voted for Paul Tsongas in the 1992 Presidential primary. 8. I skipped first grade. 9. I was on the U of I PLATO system starting in 1974 and was on the junior system staff there by 1979. 10. I have a B.S. and an M.S. in Chemistry and an M.M. (Master of Management, which is what Kellogg called their MBA). I have taken one computer course in my life. Naturally, I program computers for a living.
I'm skipping the tagging thing, because I don't send compulsions around, but if you feel like posting for your own (and your friends') amusement, please do!

I got this one from daisy_knotwise and catalana although it appears to be particularly virulent out today. Must be cabin fever... Please leave a one-word comment that you think best describes me. It can only be one word. No more. Then copy & paste this in your journal so that I may leave a word about you.
