I went to Sam's Club and grabbed a few things we needed. Then it was off to Wal-Mart for some contact lens fluid and the like.
Now, I had helped Katie get dressed this morning and I noticed that she was outgrowing a lot of her favorite outfits, so I figured that we could pick up some cheap outfits in the children's section for her. Gretchen went off to the pharmacy section and I took both little girls to the clothing area.
Oh, my God. Around and around they ran, looking for clothes. The problem was that Julie doesn't actually need clothes, because she has many things that will fit her and more coming down the line from Katie. But she wanted some. And Katie wanted a great many different things, some of which would fit and some of which wouldn't.
Eventually, Gretchen showed up and we herded Katie and Julie toward the exit, after only one "break for it" that resulted in two young Wal-Mart employees herding the girls back down the aisle to look for Mommy and Daddy. *sigh*
But when we got home, Katie carefully put all of her new clothes away. So that's progress.
I'm tired. :)
