Meanwhile, Back at the Foreclosure

Workers were back at the house today and piled all of the debris into a giant dumpster. This is good, because I don't forecast that the garbage men were going to be at all happy about taking it away on Friday morning.

I noticed that there were a number of notices attached to the door of the house, so I went over there this afternoon to look at them. The big important green one was the eviction notice from the Sheriff. This was only technically important in the sense that it allowed the folks who had foreclosed on the mortgage to take physical possession of the property. The former owners had moved out several weeks before, leaving the pile of stuff that I described before behind.

There was also a note that the property had been left unsecured, which didn't surprise me somehow, and that the foreclosing group had "secured" it -- and quite likely changed the locks. There was another notice from an agent who would take offers on the house.

And that was pretty much it.

I hope that the property sells quickly. We'll keep our fingers crossed.
