Box It, Danno

The problem with being a dealer is that you need something to carry your stock in. While we have a lot of 30 CD long boxes, you need a box to put them in that is vaguely like the right size. Those are hard to come by. Thus, we have been carrying our CDs to conventions in outer boxes that are becoming more like shells of duct tape than actual boxes. Most of them are more than 10 years old -- several of them still have the labels on them where they were shipped via UPS to and from Millenium Philcon.

Because it is nearly the end of the year and time to buy whatever it is that you think you really need, I went on-line to look for stock boxes. I didn't find any. However, I measured the boxes in the garage and I now have ordered 10 boxes that will hold 180 CDs in long boxes and another 10 boxes that will hold 120 CDs in long boxes. Doing this will allow me to continue to pack the van without tearing my hair out.

The 20 boxes cost me just over $100 and should supposedly be here in a few days.

If I have measured incorrectly, I will be very annoyed with myself...
