These Boots Are Made For Snow

Ok, that was frightening. Not in a bad way, but still...

Katie's snow boots, which had been too large for her last spring, are now too small for her to get on. Oops. And last night, we got about three inches of snow, so if she was going to be allowed anywhere except on the plowed blacktop for recess, she had to have snow boots.

Which she didn't.

And we heard about it.

So after dinner, we went out looking for snow boots. There were none at Payless, so -- after a quick Hail Mary at Sam's Club, which was unlikely to have them, but was on the way -- we went to Target.

Where they were pretty much cleaned out.

There were, however, some suede snow boots. Which she ended up taking a size four in.

They've now been sprayed with waterproofing agent, which should help somewhat.

And tomorrow, Katie can go out in the snow at recess.
