Last night, after Julie had been sent to bed, but when she was still acting out, she took her little notepad and pen to bed with her and kept writing notes which she would loudly announce that she was dropping over the balcony for our consumption. Of course, we decided not to consume them at the time.

When I was running down to the basement to swap out the laundry before going upstairs, I let daisy_knotwise know that there was a note that floated over next to the basement stairs that said "I love you, Mommy." She came by and collected all of the notes.

A few minutes later, I walked into the girls' bedroom to read stories.

And Julie told me, "I don't want you to read the notes, Daddy." And she handed me another note.

It was a picture of her standing next to me sitting at the desk where I work. And it said, "Now I love you, Dad."

Thanks, Julie.

I love you too.

And I always will.
