Counting Down

The Cards beat the Cubs tonight, 8-0, as Adam Wainwright won his 20th game of the season. The Pirates also shut out the Braves, 1-0, so the Cards magic number is down to four.

This means that it remains possible (although fairly unlikely) that I might see the Cards clinch the NL Central title on Wednesday at Wrigley. All it takes is two Cardinals wins and two Pirate losses in the next two days.

But four is good, as it is less than five. :)
