Not Nearly Enough Taxes

I have made *some* progress on the taxes. Not nearly enough, mind you, as I was distracted by a desperate need to call my bank's technical support line and ask them *how* I was supposed to find the check images on their new and improved website. I had found them by linking back to the old version, but they were nowhere to be found on the new version. Check records told you the amount of the check and when it cleared, but not even the check *number*. You get no more information by downloading info for Quicken or Excel, which will make trying to match up checks exciting -- and not in the good way.

While on the phone with technical support, I managed to find a link that took you back to the new approximation of the old screen that had the information I needed. How you would know to click on that link is a mystery. When you ask for help with "check images", all that you get it a link to the page that will let you order one from the bank for a $5 fee.

In short, the new website was designed by an idiot.
