daisy_knotwise and I considered grabbing Sam and Bonnie and braving the crowds to see Goblet of Fire tonight, but Bonnie's still under the weather, so we're looking at next Wednesday instead. All things considered, this is probably the wiser course.

Anyway, how many spoilers can there be for a movie based on a book that we've all already read? (Don't answer that. It's rhetorical.)

No, I'm not in Washington. But daisy_knotwise and I were watching C-Span tonight and were struck by the resemblance that one of the Speaker Pro Tems has to Dan Aykroyd. "Hey," she said. "Who elected Dan Aykroyd Speaker of the House?"

On the other hand, the real Aykroyd is much funnier.
