A Longish Day

We got to bed way too late last night after I got home from Marcon. As a result, we got up way too late this morning. But we did manage to get out and find somewhere that was open to grab lunch. Then we headed home and I shuffled cars so that I could unload the back of the van. This turned out to be a good idea, because shortly thereafter, Steve S. called to be picked up from the airport, a day late returning from England after missing his flight.

Katie insisted on coming along with me. The delay involved in getting her shoes on and getting her in the car was probably just long enough to result in our getting caught by President Obama's motorcade on his way back to O'Hare. Oh, well.

Not too long after Steve left, spiritdance and filker0 arrived with David and Michael on their way back from Rochester. We ordered a bunch of half-price pizza for dinner, then went out to Culver's for $1.99 hot fudge sundaes. (Flavor of the Day: Chocolate Heath Crunch. Yum!)

I've checked things at work and it's been fairly quiet. That probably won't last. :) But at least I'm caught up...
