Smoke Gets In Your Eyes
Today was cleaning lady day, so
daisy_knotwise and I took Katie and Julie to McDonald's for lunch. When we walked out and got in the van, I sniffed the air.
"Something's burning somewhere. I wonder what it is."
When we got to our home, a couple of miles away, the air was still smoky.
"This has got to be one big fire," I said.
Turns out I was right. The smoke is from a forest fire in the arrowhead region of Minnesota. The smoke in the upper atmosphere got pulled down by the lake breeze downdraft near Lake Michigan.
Wow!
