Sunday: We listened to some good music, including Puzzlebox's kids concert. Ran up and were interviewed by the film crew working on a filk documentary, which was a kick. We may end up hosting a housefilk sometime in the future for them to do some filming at, since we have more room for the film crew to work in than a number of the more regular Chicago and Milwaukee sites. We'll see.
We ducked out for dinner with Erica and her sister, Liz, which led to a fun and wide ranging conversation. (I've forgotten exactly which variant of the Sicilian used to be Liz's favorite chess opening, but I never was very good at memorizing book lines.) And a party of four was much easier to seat than the previous night's party of twelve. We write songs, but do we learn from them? Well, slowly, at least. :)
Then we came back for what was a huge and lively Dead Dog filk. I sang Look At Me, then ended up in the hall giving Taunya the capsule plot summary for the musical, including several plot points that Erica hadn't yet heard. Gretchen crashed out early because her knee was bothering her; I ended up heading to bed a bit after 1 AM, since we'd need to get up and pack to catch our ride to the airport in the morning.
We had an absolutely wonderful time! Many thanks to the Consonance committee for inviting us.
