Full Day, Full Desk

The first thing to do -- after lunch (since we must have priorities!) -- was to figure out what to do about the office stereo. The problem was that it wasn't clear that the wires from the receiver could get underneath the edge of the desk to the subwoofer below. I briefly contemplated putting a compact stereo on the hutch, but this would not only cost more money, but would be completely out of daisy_knotwise's reach. So we pulled the desk out and managed to get the wires through (as Bonnie had predicted that we would), then wired up the stereo.

Gretchen helped me assemble the new bookcase, which I loaded with software from the old bookcases, discarding two boxes worth of stuff that isn't worth keeping. *sigh* Then I unpacked most of the stuff from the old desk and hooked up the scanners while Gretchen did laundry.

In between, we called catalana and discussed covers for her upcoming album. We have some ideas, but we'll have to see how they pan out.

It must be time for dinner now...
