Change of Plans

I had thought I was going to spend most of today down in the studio mixing. As it turned out, I've spent the day (other than dinner with beamjockey and the lovely Kelley) sitting in my recliner chair, frequently with a ice pack on my knee. The good news is that I feel better as a result.

Mostly, the knee doesn't hurt unless I do something stupid with it, although it's still quite swollen. The problem is the slack that the rest of my body is taking up. My left leg feels like it's got a shin splint, probably because of the awkward way that I'm using the leg, my lower back is complaining about the extra work and the amount of time I've spent on my back in bed (because rolling over is awkward and uncomfortable), and my left shoulder is really well tweaked from the crutch work.

On the other hand, I'm able to get around. I had planned to go into work tomorrow, but if we get the predicted snow, I'm going to work from home instead of dealing with any slippery surface. We'll see what develops.
