Moving and Plasma and Computers, Oh My!

So several of us went over to help dek9 move into her new house today. After we moved stuff out of her brother's house and the storage locker into the new house (via a very full 26 foot truck and our minivan), Dawn, Sam, Jerry, and I headed over to the nearby Fry's. (daisy_knotwise had gone to the Capricon meeting with Katie, so she was safe from the electronic orgy.)

We found the new TV that Dawn had been looking for and which fit happily into the back of the minivan. Then we picked up parts for a new computer for Sam, which we brought back to our house and assembled after I dropped the TV (carefully!) off at Dawn's.

I must be getting better at this. We got home and started work around 8 PM, took an hour break for dinner, and still had the box assembled and the OS installed by just after 11 PM. Mind you, Sam still has to install all the odd drivers and updates, but the box was running when it left here.

Not bad. But, boy, are my muscles sore!
