Off to Musical Plan B

And so I said to myself, I'm getting a Bluetooth headset for my new cellphone and, if I get one that's stereo-capable, I can use the MP3 player capabilities of the phone when I'm flying from place to place, like to GAFilk and the British filkcon. So I did.

Except that you can't run a Bluetooth device while in flight. Oops. And the only other way to use the MP3 player on the phone is in speakerphone mode which would be just a wee bit annoying to the other passengers.

So I'm thinking about buying an MP3 player that suitable for airplane use. I don't need fancy DRM, as I just intend to use it with files that I rip myself from CDs I already own.

What's a good choice?
