Vital Statistics

daisy_knotwise took Katie and Julie to the pediatrician today for their two year and six month checkups respectively. Everything looks good, which is always nice to hear.

Katie is 36 3/4 inches tall and weighs 33 pounds. This apparently puts her off the chart for two year old girls, but everything is in proportion, so that's good.

Julie is 27 1/2 inches long and weighs 20 pounds and 4 ounces. This puts her around the 97th percentile for height and weight, also with all things in proportion.

The girls got their shots today. Katie's belly rash should be treated with moisturizing cream (she'll like that -- it's an improvement over the sour cream that she's been rubbing there!), while Julie's been cleared to eat very soft solid foods, starting with cereal (which should be an improvement over the bits of newspaper and magazine that she keeps trying to chew on). The doctors and nurses noted that Julie is very strong. We'd noticed that too as we tried to take the newspapers and magazines away from her. :)

After the trip to the doc, Gretchen picked me up and we went to lunch at the nearby McDonald's since they have a PlayLand. This made Katie very happy.

So far, so good.
