Barbecue Baby Girl

We had leftover beef brisket from earlier in the week, so we decided to turn it into barbecue beef using the method that I figured out a while back. First, daisy_knotwise chunked the beef. Then I threw it into the big skillet with some Sweet Baby Ray's barbecue sauce (Oops! Not enough in the fridge. Quick trip to Sam's Club and return.) and a couple of cups of water. You boil the water off stirring frequently. When the water's boiled off, you've both heated and partially shredded most of the meat and have some nice barbecue. My friend, samwinolj, when I explained this process to him observed that I seemed to be making meat risotto.

Hey, whatever works.

There was more barbecue than we needed for our buns, so I went back to the kitchen for a bit more which I just dumped on my plate. Julie was in her high chair next to the table, so I stuck a fork into the glob of barbecue and pulled out some of the well-boiled meat and gave it to her.

By the third fork full, she was smiling, bouncing in her seat, and agitating for more. So we gave it to her.

Num, num, num. :)
