Take a Seat

Some time ago, I purchased a chair for my own use at work, because the chairs we had at the office in Skokie were really old and the plastic parts had become brittle to the point where I could break them by reaching around in the wrong direction. When that office closed, I brought the chair home.

Now, this was not the best office chair in the world and the foam rubber arm rest which I was able to carefully baby at work after it cracked was not likely to survive contact with a two year old. I tried gluing it back together a few times, but it just wasn't working and the exposed metal was actively dangerous to two year olds. And with the prospect of working at home in the future, I decided that it was time to get a new chair.

After far too much entertainment with the folks at, I went back to the store and bought their floor sample, since the website wanted to charge me $50 more than the store claimed the chair cost.

Easy button? Not so much.

But I like the chair. :)
