First Lines of the Year by Months

vixyish reminded me that it was time to do this, so here's a collection of the first lines of my first posts of each month of the year. And I hope you all have a Happy New Year!

January: We're back from the New Year's Eve party. We keep explaining to Katie that it's late and she's tired. Katie keeps explaining to us, "Katie awake!"

February: Julie turned nine months old today. Because we figured the place would be insane for dinner -- they were having an all-you-can-eat, all-you-can-drink Superbowl buffet -- daisy_knotwise and I decided to take the girls over to Sweet Baby Ray's for lunch.

March: Not in any bad sense.

April: Ok, that's all the info I have for my dad's taxes on his trust assembled. Some of it looks bogus, but I'll call Ameriprise tomorrow and see what they have to say.

May: Juliana Leigh Roper is one year old today. (Almost exactly, as of the time I'm posting.) Wow!

June: Happy birthday, catalana! I hope you're having a good one.

July: So Saturday morning, I crawled out of bed while daisy_knotwise, Katie, and Julie were still sleeping, because I had a workshop scheduled for 10 AM.

August: I have listed my first item on eBay.

September: So there's a fellow rearranging the project files at work.

October: Tonight, I'm trying to catch up on various WindyCon related matters. Things like stuff for the Program Book and website.

November: When it gets to be November 1st (and Daylight Savings Time ends), it's hard to continue the delusion that it's still really summer. Accordingly, I have removed the cushions from the new patio furniture and stored them on a shelf in the garage until next spring.

December: Apparently, Katie and Julie are being too much for some of the people we know to handle. While we're working on improving their behavior, overall we tend to think it's pretty normal for two bright, active children, one of whom just turned three; the other of whom is only 18 19 months old (as of today).

And that's the way it was!
