Weigh, Hey, Blow It Away

I think there was more snow on the driveway this morning than there was when I cleared it last night. I pulled out the snowblower and made reasonably short work of it, including clearing the street in front of the mailbox so that the postman could get to it in his truck. I then did a bit of grooming with the snow shovel with the result that the sun melted the rest of the stuff off the driveway this afternoon. That's good, because we're getting a hard (sub-zero) freeze this weekend and I want that driveway clear. Destroy my knee once, shame on you. Destroy my knee twice, shame on me.

Meanwhile, the Ford folks managed to get one of the two brake hoses to my brake shop earlier today. The second hose finally showed up late this afternoon, but by then it was too late to get back over and pick the car up, as Julie was down for a nap. We'll get it tomorrow.

In other news, I paid for my Cubs season tickets today. Ouch! But pitchers and catchers will report soon.

Somewhere much warmer than here.
