The problem with having small children is that you put off doing the income taxes. However, the Dodeka taxes are due to be filed tomorrow -- excuse me, today
. Normally, this isn't a problem, as we'd just file an extension, the income is usually zero, and it all flows through to daisy_knotwise
and my return anyway.
Illinois, though, wants 1.5% of the income from the S corporation. And it looks like it probably did
produce some income last year. So I've spent the last four hours entering information from credit card statements and bank statements, aided and abetted by Gretchen during the last hour.
I now have a pretty good idea of what the results were and can send a sufficient amount of money to Illinois to keep them from making me lose my mind later.
The rest of the sorting out can wait until I've had some sleep. :)
