The Last Day of Summer

Today was the last day of summer.

Now, meteorological summer ends on August 31st. And many people say that summer ends on Labor Day. If you're looking at the calendar, summer ends on the day of the Autumnal Equinox as fall begins.

But today, the high was in the low eighties. It was a beautiful clear day with high clouds and a lovely breeze.

Tomorrow, the high will be just over seventy. And it's supposed to rain. And it will be colder yet for the other days of the week.

We may yet get another beautiful day in the fall.

But today was the last day of summer.
