We had a couple of flip racks that would hold 32 CDs between them and that improved the situation a bit. But when I set things up for Confusion, it was full, full, full.
And then I picked up half a dozen or so of Tom's CDs that he usually doesn't wholesale at the end of the con. And bedlamhouse is bringing talis_kimberley and zanda_myrande's new CDs back from England for us, just in time for Capricon.
Fortunately, I had a plan. When we originally bought the gridwall that we use for our big clamped-to-the-table display, we got four pieces, so there was one piece that we'd never used. Before Christmas, I ordered another dozen of the tie racks that we use to make display racks for CDs. Today, I went to Home Depot and got wood trim, cup hooks, and C-clamps.
Later today, I went back to Home Depot and got the short brass wood screws that I'd forgotten on the first trip. (Oh, well. Only a two-trip job.)
And now, we have twelve new rack shelves tucked away in the bin, which will give us space for 24 more CDs.
Maybe that will hold us for a month or two. :)
