Some of you know that I've been working on an album of my own music (as opposed to all the other people that Gretchen and I have recorded) to be released at OVFF, if we're lucky. Dorotha Biernesser came in last weekend from DC and laid down the female backup vocals which is almost all of the parts that we'll need to finish. This means that it's time to engage in some serious trial mixing.
Naturally, I'm running behind. We've gotten two tracks worth of test mixes done with twelve to go (and one track to be completely re-recorded). Tomorrow, we're meeting Barry and Sally Childs-Helton in Rensselaer, Indiana to get our portable recording gear back in hand before Torcon and I've promised them something to listen to.
It's going to be an entertaining 18 hours or so.
